We are excited to share our most recent project, a block-paved driveway completed in Ipswich, Suffolk. This project is unique to others as it displays the ‘merged’ driveway of two neighbours who both entrusted our expert team to rejuvenate their forgotten driveways. The primary goal was to transform an old, uneven, and partially flooded driveway into a modern, aesthetically pleasing, and functional space. Project Overview
Materials Used:
- Paving Blocks: High-quality red and grey blocks were used to create a design that both neighbours loved and made their properties stand out.
- Channel Drainage: Efficient drainage channels were installed to ensure proper water management, preventing water accumulation and potential damage.
Scope of Work:
- Site Preparation: The project began with the removal of the old paving and preparation of the ground. This step included excavating to the required depth to ensure a stable foundation for the new driveway.
- Sub-Base Installation: A compacted hardcore sub-base was laid to provide stability and prevent future sinking or shifting.
- Edging and Steps Installation: The bespoke half round steps were carefully installed to create a welcoming entrance. These steps were designed to be both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
- Paving Installation: The high-quality paving blocks were meticulously laid in a pattern that complements the overall design of the house. Special attention was given to achieving a level surface and seamless integration with the steps.
- Channel Drainage Installation: Efficient drainage channels were installed to ensure that water is directed away from the driveway, preventing pooling and potential damage.
